Unique Wedding Ring Sets: Curved Bands, Scattered Stones and Custom Designs
by Kayla Goldsmid
·
Unique wedding ring sets go beyond two plain bands. At Kayge Studio, each set pairs an engagement ring with a matching band that follows the curve of the ring, and most of our sets place the stone at an angle, east-west or off center instead of straight on. Browse the sets below, or start a custom project if you want a design we do not list. Every ring is made to order.

What makes a wedding ring set unique, and not just matching
The words wedding ring set mean different things to different people. For some, it is an engagement ring and the band that goes with it. For others, it is two partners' rings worn as a pair. This guide is about the first kind: one engagement ring and one band, designed together.
Rings that fit each other, not rings that look the same
Each of our ten sets comes with a band that follows the curve of the engagement ring. On the emerald set 01, marquise set 01 and round set 01 pages, the ring and band are made to fit the exact curvature of each other.
Asymmetry, angled stones and flush settings
Instead of a stone centered in a straight line, most of our sets place it at a slight angle, on a tilt, east-west across the finger or off center. Seven of our sets are also flush set, which means the stone is set level with the surface of the band instead of rising above it. Not every set does both, so read each description below to see which one fits the look you want.
Wedding ring sets from Kayge, by design
Our sets are listed with lab diamonds. If you are looking for a natural diamond, a rush order, a different size or another change, ask through the contact form. Below, each set is described the way its own product page describes it. You can find all of them in the engagement collection.
Tilted, angled and off-center sets
- SET 01: a 2ct lab diamond set at a slight angle to complement the organic curve of the ring. The band fits the curvature of the ring. Full set from $8,250.
- SET 02: a .9ct lab diamond set off center for a unique asymmetrical look. The band fits the curvature of the ring. Full set from $6,750.
- Marquise set 01: a flush set 1ct lab marquise diamond set on a slight angle, with a band and ring made to fit the exact curvature of each other.
- Asymmetrical pear set: a 1.5ct lab pear diamond, flush set on a tilt. The band follows the curve of the engagement ring.
- Asymmetrical moval set: a 1.5ct lab moval diamond, flush set on a tilt. Kayge movals are custom-cut for the look and proportions of each design.
East-west sets
- Emerald set 01: a flush set 1ct lab emerald diamond set east-west, in an asymmetrical, organic form.
- Pear set 01: a flush set 1ct lab pear diamond set east-west. Its form is more organic than other styles in the engagement line.
- East west moval set: a flush set 2ct lab moval diamond, set in a signet style band. The band follows the curve of the engagement ring. Full set from $11,320.

Classic stone sets
- Curve solitaire set: a 2ct lab pear diamond in a prong setting. It mixes favorite parts of traditional engagement rings with Kayge's organic style, and it can be recreated with other diamond cuts and carat weights.
- Round set 01: a flush set .75ct lab round diamond. The product page recommends this style for resetting round heirloom stones.
How the set options work
Every set page has an option called set options, with three choices: full set, engagement ring only, or wedding band only. You can buy the pair together, the ring on its own, or the band on its own, and the price changes with your choice. Here are three examples from the product pages.
| Set | Full set from | Engagement ring only from | Wedding band only from |
|---|---|---|---|
| SET 01 | $8,250 | $6,450 | $1,800 |
| SET 02 | $6,750 | $5,050 | $1,700 |
| East west moval set | $11,320 | $9,140 | $2,180 |
Check each product page for the current price of the option you choose.
How to pick a set by stone shape
If you already know the shape you love, start here.
- Round: round set 01 is a .75ct lab round, flush set. It is the one to look at if you want to reset a round heirloom stone.
- Pear: three sets use a pear. Pear set 01 is 1ct and set east-west. The asymmetrical pear set is 1.5ct and flush set on a tilt. The curve solitaire set is a 2ct pear in a prong setting.
- Emerald: emerald set 01 is a 1ct emerald diamond, flush set east-west.
- Marquise: marquise set 01 is a 1ct marquise, flush set on a slight angle.
- Moval: the asymmetrical moval set is 1.5ct on a tilt, and the east west moval set is 2ct in a signet style band.
- Shape not named: SET 01 is a 2ct lab diamond at a slight angle, and SET 02 is a .9ct lab diamond set off center.
Our sets run from a .75ct round to 2ct stones. The asymmetrical pear set, the asymmetrical moval set, the east west moval set and the curve solitaire set list their lab diamonds as DEF in color and VVS1 to VS2 in clarity. If you want a different cut or carat weight, the curve solitaire page says that set can be recreated in other cuts and carat weights, and the custom form below is there for the rest.
Curved bands that go with an engagement ring
You may already own an engagement ring, or want to choose the band on its own. Our curved wedding bands are made for that. Prices start at the figures below.
- Curve Ring 01, from $1,910: a Kayge signature band created to complement a wide range of engagement ring styles. It was made for lower set engagement rings, or for anyone who enjoys a bit of negative space in their stack.
- Curve Ring 02, from $1,830: built for stacking, with thoughtful curves and proportions, and made to complement a wide range of engagement ring styles. For a matching look with your partner, see the Curve Band.
- Curve Ring 03, from $1,880: also made to complement a wide range of engagement ring styles.
- Curve Band, from $2,250: created with thoughtful curves and proportions. For a matching look with your partner, see Curve Ring 02.
- Curve Band Narrow, from $1,950: takes the classic design of the Curve Band and redesigns it for a thinner look.
Double Curve Rings
Double Curve Rings are two rings designed to work as a pair or on their own. Each ring has .25ctw, so a pair has .5ctw, and the lab diamonds are DEF in color and VVS1 to VS2 in clarity. They go with most solitaire rings. They are not part of the Perfect Fit Kit.
Scattered stone rings for a multi-shape look
The scattered stone rings are separate bands, not sets. Each ring features a baguette, a pear, a marquise and three rounds, so you get several stone shapes in one band. The rings measure around 4.5 mm wide and taper at the back. They complement a wide range of engagement ring styles, with curves and proportions that make stacking with your engagement ring easy, and you can choose lab or natural diamonds.
- Curve ring 01 x scattered stones, from $2,950. It is made for anyone who likes a bit of negative space in their stack.
- Curve ring 02 x scattered stones, from $2,890.
- Curve ring 03 x scattered stones, from $3,170.
How to try the bands at home first
The Perfect Fit Kit costs $140. You pick up to three rings from our wedding line, and we send them as resin prints so you can try the shapes on your own hand. A ring sizer comes with the kit, and you get a $100 credit toward a wedding line purchase. The kit covers the wedding line only, so engagement rings and Double Curve Rings are not part of it. You can see the full range in the Perfect Fit Kit collection.
